Sir Kevin attended the investiture ceremony today at Windsor Castle, with his wife Jayne, as he and 59 other attendees were given honours by the future King.
The 45-year-old has been knighted for his services to the MND community, as well as for services to league and union rugby.
Sir Kevin said he was ‘massively humbled by the whole experience’ and ‘very proud to accept it on behalf of the MND community and their families’.

Since 2020, Sir Kevin has completed annual seven in seven ultramarathon challenges, in honour of his Leeds Rhinos teammate Rob Burrow who died from motor neurone disease in 2024.
Last weekend, he finished his most recent challenge, during which he stopped at all 12 of the rugby Super League teams’ home stadiums, including Warrington Wolves.
On the final day of the challenge, Saturday, the former England rugby league captain ran through Warrington, stopping at the Halliwell Jones Stadium and the Dog and Partridge pub in Paddington.

Large crowds gathered along the Warrington route, to show their support to Sir Kevin and his team, as they headed from St Helens to Old Trafford, ahead of the Super League grand final.
When asked by the Press Association how Burrow would have felt to see him receiving a knighthood, Sir Kevin said: “I think he’d be laughing.
“I think he’d be enormously proud of the support behind a campaign that he started, and we continue in his name.
“I think he’d be really proud of it, the support, and the way people got behind what we tried to do, especially Prince William and Princess Catherine, and several other high-profile figures across the UK, and the world.
“On behalf of all the MND families, Rob would just be delighted at how we’ve pulled together.”
