MONTREAL – Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes announced on Friday that the team has acquired a second-round pick in 2027 from the Nashville Predators (previously acquired from the Vegas Golden Knights) in exchange for defenseman Jayden Struble. 

Struble played 174 career NHL games with the Canadiens since making his debut in 2023-24, registering seven goals and 28 assists. The 25-year-old defenseman also served 167 penalty minutes in four seasons with Montreal. The Cumberland, RI native took part in 14 career playoff contests with the Canadiens. 

Struble was selected by Montreal in the second round (46th overall) of the 2019 NHL Draft.
