It appears that tensions between Buffalo Bills edge rusher Bradley Chubb and Los Angeles Rams left tackle Alaric Jackson boiled over after the Bills’ 37-34 victory on Monday Night Football.

Chubb and Jackson had a post-game confrontation that ended with Jackson punching Chubb in the face. Chubb was later seen having to be restrained by teammates as he continued to go after Jackson.

The altercation appeared to catch Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen’s attention during a postgame interview:

Despite the testy altercation being caught on video, Chubb downplayed the situation while speaking to reporters after the game.

“It’s just emotions, you know what I mean? Emotional game. It was a close game,” Chubb said, per ESPN’s Sarah Barshop. “And, you know, they always catch the second guy. So, I let him swing. And then my teammates held me back, and I just chilled.”

Jackson was exchanging jerseys with Bills defensive lineman Deone Walker when it appeared Chubb said something to him to spark the brouhaha. Rams tight end Colby Parkinson pulled Jackson away after he threw the punch.

“Like I said, it was an emotional game. Tempers got flared,” Chubb said. “But it is what it is. We flushed it and we onto next week.”

When asked if Jackson’s punch connected, Chubb replied, “I’m just ready for next week. … You see, I’m smiling, I’m with my team. … I’ll be ready for next week.”

It seems like Chubb is content to move on after helping the Bills outlast the Rams in overtime to improve to 4-1 this season. Buffalo will face the Las Vegas Raiders (3-2) on the road in Week 6.
