Derby County’s miserable form in the Championship continued as Sondre Langas was added to the list of Derby’s injury problems in a 4-1 defeat to QPR tonight.

Langas was forced off after 10 minutes of the Championship clash as Derby sent on right-back Ryan Nyambe to play in the heart of a defence which has been decimated through injury.

QPR took full advantage as Alfie Lloyd gave them the lead with a thumping finish after some charitable defending before Nicolas Madsen made it 2-0 from the spot after Paul Smyth was hacked down by Ryan Hedges.

Josh Vickers made further saves to deny Rayan Kolli, but Derby’s soft centre was exposed again when Harvey Vale found the far corner in what was another dreadful goal to concede.

Eustace made a double change at half-time with Lewis Travis and Henrik Meister sent on to try and spark what would be an unlikely comeback.

But it was Rangers who made it 4-0 when Smyth’s shot took a deflection off Mowatt and deceived Vickers. Derby kept plugging away and there was time for Lars-Jorgen Salvesen to score a consolation at the death.

Here are DerbyshireLive‘s player ratings from the defeat at Loftus Road…

Josh Vickers: Actually made a couple of decent stops, but could do very little with the goals that flew past him in the first half in what was a desperate opening 45 minutes. 4

Joe Ward: Just didn’t appear to be at the races in the first half, but was not the only one that was found wanting in a terrible first 45 minutes. 3

Sondre Langas: Had made a crucial block to stop Kolli giving QPR an early lead, but it cost him as he picked up an injury that has only added to the list of casualties. Lasted 10 minutes. N/A

Dion Sanderson: The centre-back had to endure a long night and the quality of defending across the board was absolutely nowhere near the level required. 4

Ryan Hedges: Went to ground to thwart Smyth, but ended up giving a penalty away, which came not long after Derby had conceded the first goal. 4

Alex Mowatt: Lord only knows what he was doing for the third goal and then complained to the referee about a foul. Should have just scrambled it away. Deflected in the fourth. 3

David Ozoh: There were a couple of charging runs which didn’t amount to much but he did have a shot on target from one of Derby’s best moves of the game. 3

Mo Fuseini: Derby couldn’t get him into the game as much as they would have liked but there were a couple of moments when he looked to be creative. 3

Bobby Clark: One of those nights where everything that could go wrong for the midfielder invariably did. Touch was not as reliable as you would expect in some moments. 4

Sam Szmodics: At least he tried to rattle QPR with a thundering tackle on Kealey Adamson and was one of the few that wanted to have a bit of bite about him. 4

Carlton Morris: His job was largely tasked with feeding off scraps and long passes for him to flick on. Needed much better service than he got. 4

Subs

Ryan Nyambe (Langas 10): Right-back playing centre-back. Was an emergency move after Langas injury. 3

Lewis Travis (Ozoh 45): Added some snap and bite into the heart of midfield. Created a good chance for Salvesen. 4

Henrik Meister (Fuseini 45): Doesn’t seem to know how to tackle without giving a foul away. 3

Lars-Jorgen Salvesen (Morris 63): Scored right at the death. 4

Filip Bilbija (Szmodics 68): Showed one neat bit of footwork near the end. 3
