Ukraine reached out 2,500 km to the city of Khanty-Mansiysk in west central Siberia northeast of Yekaterinburg to strike this gas processing plant.

❗️❗️BREAKING: Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Surgut Condensate Stabilization Plant in Russia’s Khanty-Mansiysk region, roughly 2,400 km from Ukraine’s border. The Gazprom facility processes gas condensate and produces motor and aviation fuel, with capacity of 12 million tonnes a year. #Russia

Ukraine also paid a return visit to the Ryazan refinery.

This will surely be one of the Top 5 tales of Russian bumbling in this war — a Ukrainian drone gets between two tree lines occupied by Russians and instigates a firefight between them.

One Ukrainian robot got two Russian units to spend half a day shooting each other.

Operation “Vivaldi” has quietly turned into one of Ukraine’s sharpest pushes this fall — and it also produced one genuinely absurd moment worth telling.

A ground robotic system with a mounted machine gun rolled into the gap between two tree lines where Russian troops were positioned. It opened fire on one tree line. Then it opened fire on the other.

Both Russian groups assumed the other side had just been hit by Ukrainian forces — and started shooting at each other.

For half a day.

“It started shooting into one tree line, then the other. Then they started shooting at each other — both sides thought it was the enemy, and they fired at one another for half a day.” — “Disney,” deputy communications officer, 3rd Separate Assault Brigade.

Beyond the comedy, “Disney” gave a real glimpse into what’s actually happening on the Vivaldi front — and the gap between what Russian commanders are reporting up the chain and what’s true on the ground.

Bavovna.

Resistance is futile.

Big heavy drones are being used more often for evacuating the wounded.

Ukraine launched a swarm of drones at Moscow, shutting down air traffic around the capital.

Having just had my stress level elevated to red alert by trying to make connections in Atlanta, I can well understand how pissed off and frustrated all these people are. The solution, of course, is to end the damn war.

Ukraine has been disrupting Russian air traffic for months but now Zelenskyy is being advised to be more aggressive.

So far, Ukraine has been forcing airports to cancel flights just by flying drones into the vicinity. The new plan would attack airport infrastructure directly.

SCOOP: Some of Zelensky’s advisers, and even a few European officials, have called for him to get more aggressive in striking Russian airports.

There are signs his cautious view on such attacks is shifting, especially as Trump starts giving Russia cover.https://t.co/lQJ2ovRqYO pic.twitter.com/Y64brMi6ms

A Russian officer worth lauding.

For five months, a Russian lieutenant secretly helped Ukraine kill his own comrades by sending it the locations of his brigade, WSJ.

More than 300 Russian soldiers died, including a brigade commander. He took no money, then walked across a minefield to Ukraine. 1/ pic.twitter.com/ljymGGSbQo

Zelenskyy can convey more with a glance than Trump can with a thousand-word Truth Social rant.

President Zelenskyy was asked whether he feels he is being treated as a scapegoat for all the problems President Trump is currently facing with his approval ratings ahead of the congressional elections.

Russia will never agree to this because Ukraine would use the expanded Starlink access to hit ballistic missile launchers,

❗️Zelensky is reportedly ready to pause strikes on Russian refineries for 100 days in exchange for Starlink access for Ukrainian drones up to 300 km inside Russia, WSJ reports. The proposal was made by US Senators Roger Wicker and Kevin Cramer. #Ukraine

Let’s check in on the Russian economy.

Before the strikes, A7A5 recorded around 600 transactions per day. Afterward, just 32 remained – 18 on Ethereum and 14 on Tron. That’s a roughly 95% collapse in transaction activity.

Here’s where Western sanctions come in. A7A5’s exchange infrastructure was originally hosted in Europe. After US and UK sanctions in Aug 2025, it moved to Russia. By Sep 2025, its services were running on Yandex infrastructure.

In other words, Western sanctions may have pushed A7A5 onto Russian infrastructure – making it vulnerable to Ukrainian strikes in Oct 2026. Sanctions and Ukrainian attacks appear to have worked together. The full scale and duration of the disruption remain unclear.

More fallout from the data center strikes.

Translation: European users are reporting that Kaspersky Antivirus has essentially died. Database updates are not working, the password manager with all the passwords has disappeared, and the VPN has ceased to exist. The company itself assured Europeans that it does not store their confidential data in Russia, but does so… in reliable data centers in Switzerland. The strikes on Yandex’s data centers have shown that it was all a lie! It’s unknown whether Kaspersky will recover at all and be able to continue existing after such a crushing blow. Most likely, no.

A drifting drone?

Belgium steps up, but also takes a step back. Belgium’s PM also explained that he is opposed to using frozen Russian assets for Ukraine because they will need that money to be part of any peace agreement.

Russia buzzes Moldova with five more drones.

❗️Moldova’s Defense Ministry says five unauthorized drone incursions were recorded in less than seven hours overnight and Friday morning during Russia’s large-scale attacks on Ukraine. The drones crossed Moldova’s airspace in the north and southeast. No crashes or explosions were reported. #Ukraine

I’d love to know more details about this.

Russian Air Force blogger Fighterbomber says Russia has a ”shitload” of planes but it isn’t enough.

1/ Constant Ukrainian drone attacks are creating heavy demands on the Russian air force. This is causing a great deal amount of wear and tear for its aircraft, high rates of failures and malfunctions which require repairs and downtime, and reduces their service life. ⬇️

This is ridiculous.

Hungarian PM Péter Magyar says Ukraine’s EU accession process could take 15 or 20 years and currently has no target date. He argued that membership must be based solely on merit, pointing to Serbia, which began its European integration process around 15 years ago and is still not close to joining.
