Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear had some sharp words for President Donald Trump after his rally in Highland Heights Saturday afternoon.

Beshear accused President Trump of being out of touch with families struggling with rising costs, calling the president’s speech a “complete disservice” to the commonwealth and the country.

“While hardworking families struggle due to skyrocketing prices from his ‘war of choice’ and unlawful tariffs, President Trump makes false promises and says ‘life is better than ever,'” Beshear wrote.

Beshear said Kentuckians and Americans deserve a leader who cares, adding that he believes President Trump has made it clear he does not.

President Trump’s rally featured speeches from Republican congressional candidates Ed Gallrein and Andy Barr before the president took the stage.

While on stage, they both highlighted the President Trump administration’s policies on the economy, immigration, energy and national security.

They also urged Republicans to unite ahead of the midterms and in Washington.

Election Day is set for November 3.
