Impact weather is creating hazardous conditions across the Treasure Coast and Palm Beaches on Sunday.

A wind advisory is in effect for parts of Indian River County, with sustained winds of 20 to 25 miles per hour and gusts up to 40 miles per hour.

Wind gusts around 30 miles per hour have already been recorded this Sunday morning from Sebastian and Vero Beach south through Jupiter, West Palm Beach, Boynton Beach and Boca Raton.

Meanwhile, a high surf advisory remains in effect along the Atlantic coast, where seas are expected to reach seven to 12 feet. The rough surf is creating dangerous swimming conditions, a high risk of rip currents and the potential for beach erosion.

Forecasters are also monitoring an area in the Atlantic with a 30% chance of tropical development over the next seven days, though no immediate impacts to Florida are expected.

Residents are urged to secure loose outdoor items, use caution on the roads and stay out of rough ocean waters.
