A doting mother drowned while desperately trying to rescue her two children who were swept away by a strong current while snorkeling in the Bahamas, according to a report.
The 36-year-old unidentified British woman was on a snorkeling expedition with her husband and two sons south of the island of Bimini when the tragedy occurred on Tuesday, The Tribune reported.
The children were washed up by a strong current — so the mom rushed to save them, but was swept away herself, according to the outlet.

Rescuers pulled her from the water and performed CPR at a ferry dock, but the woman died at the hospital, the spokesperson said.
Linty Stuart, the owner of L&A Water Taxi, captained the boat that saved the boys and pulled the hero mom out of the water, according to the ZNS Network.
“It happened, really really fast. I’m still in shock too,” Stuart told the station, adding that big waves made the rescue difficult.
“It’s scary. We tried … It’s sad,” added first mate Jason Saunders.

The family was reportedly visiting the tropical island from a cruise ship.
The Royal Bahamas Police Force did not immediately respond to a request for information from The Post.
