A B.C. RCMP Major Crimes officer has been charged with one count of accessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material, according to the B.C. Prosecution Service (BCPS).

A BCPS statement says Const. Graham James Love was also charged with one count of breach of trust on Tuesday.

The service said charges were approved following an investigation into offences alleged to have occurred in Port Coquitlam between February 2023 and May 2025.

Prosecutors say the charges were approved by a Crown counsel who has no connection with Love.

His first court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 18, according to the BCPS.

The service stated it will not release any further information as the matter is before the courts.
