Extremist ultra-Orthodox protesters demonstrated in Jerusalem and Beit Shemesh on Sunday evening following the arrest of a yeshiva student who had evaded military service. In Jerusalem, protesters blocked the light rail tracks on Haim Bar-Lev Road, and police attempted to disperse them using stun grenades. Police said protesters threw stones at officers.
