The area received between 6 and 16 inches of rainfall in spots over the last 24 hours.

A flood watch is in effect for all of South Florida until 7 p.m. Flash flood warning in effect for Indian River County until 1:45 p.m.Flash flood warning in effect for Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River counties until 1:45 p.m. Flood advisory in effect for Palm Beach County until 3:15 p.m.Flash flood warning in effect for Palm Beach County until 4 p.m.
Today’s heavy rains are expected to fall on already saturated ground, increasing the likelihood of widespread flooding.
