Tommy DeVito went from the Giants’ only quarterback to the odd man out of a crowded room in a matter of five months.

The fan favorite known as “Tommy Cutlets” was cut Tuesday by the Giants and is expected to draw interest from other teams, sources confirmed to The Post.

If a team claims DeVito off of waivers by noon Wednesday, it must keep him on the 53-man roster for at least the first three weeks of the regular season.

If DeVito passes through waivers, he will face a choice: Return to the Giants practice squad and be the fourth-stringer behind Russell Wilson, Jaxson Dart and Jameis Winston or sign to another practice squad with a shorter path to the field as a third-stringer who could maybe compete for second-string reps.

The perks of staying with the Giants are two-fold.

The North Jersey product has more off-field revenue opportunities because of his standing in the Italian community – his pinched-fingers touchdown celebration had fans clamoring to pay about $200 for his autograph during his viral rookie season in 2023 – and his comfort operating head coach Brian Daboll’s offense was obvious as he went 17-for-20 with three touchdown passes in the preseason finale against the Patriots.

DeVito is 3-3 as an NFL starter with eight touchdowns and three interceptions. Originally an undrafted rookie, he made the lifeless Giants interesting with three straight wins – including beating the Packers in primetime – when Daniel Jones and Tyrod Taylor went down.

The Giants also briefly turned to DeVito over second-stringer Drew Lock when looking for a “spark” last season, after cutting Jones. Lock wound up replacing DeVito.

When free agency opened in March, DeVito was the Giants only quarterback. But they signed Wilson and Winston and drafted Dart to be the future.

Dart and DeVito formed a quick friendship, with the rookie first-round pick crediting DeVito for helping him get acclimated to New York both on and off the field.

The Giants also cut running back Dante “Turbo” Miller despite an impressive preseason as a pass-catcher and special-teamer, The Post confirmed.

Miller could resurface on the practice squad, though he is expected to have options elsewhere. The running back market will be flooded today, complicating his odds of a waiver claim.
