PATRICK COLLINS: Error led to the first goal which gave Tipp the lead. A dropping ball was flicked in for the Premier’s third. Decent puck-outs overall but being outgoaled was a significant factor. 5.
NIALL O’LEARY: Man-marking Darragh McCarthy, who was sensational given he’s U20. O’Leary snapped up a lot of possession and got upfield for his own point but had a few costly turnovers. 5.
EOIN DOWNEY: Tasked with John McGrath duty but gave a couple of frees away and was booked in the first half. That ended up costing Cork dearly when he was red-carded. 5.
SEÁN O’DONOGHUE: Stuck with Jason Forde tightly and tidy with his passing. One of the few Rebels to escape with his reputation unblemished. 7.
ROB DOWNEY: Like O’Donoghue, did well on possession but Tipp’s tactical acumen minimised his ability to dominate in the air. 6.
CIARÁN JOYCE: As expected had a fascinating duel with Jake Morris, who clipped some fine scores and pulled Joyce of position to leave space inside. 6.
MARK COLEMAN: Assist for Barrett’s goal after a fine support run off Rob Downey’s shoulder. Cork didn’t make full use of his playmaking when Tipp set up with the sweeper. 6.
TIM O’MAHONY: Tipp’s approach limited his chances of galloping into space. Kept at it but replaced. 5.
DARRAGH FITZGIBBON: Snapped over a pair of neat first-half points. Didn’t really get to the tempo of the second half but then who did? 6.
DIARMUID HEALY: Point after 10 seconds settled him and he had three by the break. Work-rate and movement excellent. Not as involved in the second half before coming off. 7.
SHANE BARRETT: As expected after a quiet semi, he was on fire from the off. Matched his 1-3 from play in the first half of the Munster final. Also got a second-half point. Couldn’t be faulted, Cork’s best player. 8.
DECLAN DALTON: Converted a long-range free after earning the foul in the first half but just didn’t get motoring at all. 5.
ALAN CONNOLLY: Very slow start before he sniped a score and began to show his threat. Overall, he was shut down and ended up forcing goal chances that weren’t on. 5.
BRIAN HAYES: Quality first-half point but Ronan Maher curbed his aerial prowess, aside from giving up a couple of frees and hitting a penalty Cork missed anyway. 5.
PATRICK HORGAN: Curled over a trademark point from play but Michael Breen put the shackles on him. 5.
SEAMUS HARNEDY: One of the few Cork players able to secure possession. Hit a point and blasted a rasper off the crossbar. 7.
DAMIEN CAHALANE: Gave away one cheap free on his introduction but did fine on 50-50s sent long. 6.
CONOR LEHANE: Tried to spark some life into the Rebels without much joy and had a penalty saved. 5.
SHANE KINGSTON: On late and cut into the Tipp defence a few times but with extra bodies back it didn’t amount to much. 5.
TOMMY O’CONNELL: Late replacement for Tim O’Mahony. 6.
