Team Update

Narrm has named an extended line-up for its match against Collingwood

NARRM has named an extended line-up to face Collingwood, three days out from the Sunday clash.

The squad of 24 includes the addition of six players including Ryleigh Wotherspoon, Alyssia Pisano, Jemma Rigoni, Amelia Dethridge, Mekah Morrissey and Sophie Casey.

As a number of AFLW-listed Demons are unavailable for the Sunday game, the club has called upon train-on players Morrissey and Casey to add to the extended line-up.

Earlier this week it was confirmed that Olivia Purcell (ACL), Blaithin Mackin (MCL) and Sarah Lampard (calf) had all been sidelined with injury following Round 2, while Sinead Goldrick will also miss the game with scans confirming the defender has suffered a labral tear in her shoulder.

The club will monitor Goldrick’s injury over the coming days, before outlining a return to play timeline.

The Dees are looking to hold their top spot on the ladder with a third consecutive win this weekend, making Sunday’s game an exciting opportunity for the red and blue.

The match will kick off at 1:05pm at Victoria Park (Wurundjeri Land) with tickets to the match available here.

This is Narrm’s first game of the AFLW Indigenous Round, which is a two-week period that looks to acknowledge and celebrate the history and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

The Dees will remain as Narrm Football Club for the duration of the two weeks, recognizing the Wurundjeri Woiwurrung language in the rebrand.
