Pro-Palestine protesters have blocked trucks from accessing Port Melbourne.
Around 18 activists staged a blockade outside the gates on Monday afternoon.
The demonstration has caused a headache for motorists, with trucks blocked and traffic building up all the way to Todd Road.
Several protestors were seen sitting on camp chairs while others strapped themselves to barrels painted in the colours of the Palestinian flag.Â
Many were seen wearing shirts with the same slogan: ‘We are all Palestine action.’Â
The demonstrators are understood to be from the Whistleblowers, Activists and Communities Alliance.
The protestors are demanding Australia end all trade with Israel.Â
Demonstrators have claimed the government has ‘failed to act in any meaningful way’, arguing ‘the majority of the Australian public’ is in favour of sanctions.Â
