Serious injuries in Thornton Beach Rd crash, traffic delays expected

Three people have been injured in a crash in Bay of Plenty.

Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Thornton Beach Rd and West Bank Rd about 10.20am.

Hato Hone St John said a rapid response unit, two ambulances, a helicopter, and an operations
manager attended the scene.

“Three patients, two in serious condition and one in moderate condition, were transported to Whakatāne Hospital by road.”
