Two of the three teenagers killed in a horror head-on crash in Queensland were best mates who recently graduated from high school.
T-Jay Petrass and Liam Doumergue, both 19, died when their Mazda 2 crashed into a Great Wall Cannon while they were trying to overtake a semi-trailer on Mackay Ring Rd at Glenella, a suburb of Mackay, about 10.40pm on Friday.
The teenagers — along with a 19-year-old girl also travelling in their car — were declared dead at the scene.

The 28-year-old male driver of the Great Wall Cannon, was rushed to Mackay Base Hospital in a serious condition, while the 68-year-old male driver of the semi-trailer escaped injury.
A fourth vehicle, an Isuzu D-Max, veered off the road to avoid the wreck and the driver was not hurt.
7NEWS.com.au understands the Mazda 2 was a 18th birthday present gifted to one of the boys last year.
Tributes have begun to pour in online for the teenagers, who recently graduated from Mackay North State High School.
“R.I.P to me (sic) little brother T-jay and his best mate Liam,” Petrass’s older brother Jason Goodfellow said.

“No doubt still having a good time together up top.”
One of Doumergue’s friends said the tragedy was “not fair”.
“You were taken too early,” he said.
“I am honestly so lost for words. I always looked up to you as an older brother.
“Rest in peace my bro.”
Locals say there was heavy fog blanketing the 100km/h stretch of road at the time of the crash.
Police are investigating whether the fog contributed to the accident.
