Northwestern University professor Nina Kraus, 72, was found alive in Evanston Tuesday afternoon, following a full day of searching after she was reported missing Monday afternoon.

Her son, Mikey Perkins, told the Evanston RoundTable that she was transported to the hospital after being found near her home. Evanston Police confirmed that Kraus was transported to the hospital.

Kraus had was last been seen Monday morning leaving home alone, and left her cellphone at home.

EPD Cmdr. Ryan Glew said that police do not suspect foul play in the case.
