Rafael Albuquerque was born in Porto Alegre and has been active in the U.S. comic book industry since 2005. Recognized for his work on All Star Batman, Animal Man, and Batgirl, he has also created acclaimed independent projects such as Mondo Urbano (2010), Ei8ht (2015), and Huck (2015). His celebrated collaboration on American Vampire with Scott Snyder and Stephen King earned both the Eisner and Harvey Awards, in addition to becoming a New York Times bestseller.
His more recent projects include Huck Vol. 2 with Mark Millar, Superman Unlimited with Dan Slott, and the upcoming Crimeland, co-created with Rafael Scavone.
