NANLITE miro 30c and 60c Round Panel Lights Launched

Chinese lighting manufacturer NANLITE has announced two new round panel lights, the miro 30c and miro 60c, targeting content creators and photographers looking for compact, battery-powered solutions. Let’s take a closer look.

The circular design aims to produce natural-looking catchlights in subjects’ eyes, a consideration often overlooked in rectangular panel designs. Each light ships with a magnetic diffuser that can be quickly attached or removed to modify the light quality from hard to soft output.

The miro 30c measures 6.5 inches in diameter, making it slightly larger than a CD, while the 60c extends to 8.2 inches, roughly the size of a dinner plate. Both lights maintain a lightweight construction designed for portability. The fixtures come in two color options: mint blue and midnight blue finishes.

At the heart of both models sits NANLITE’s Nebula C4 Light Engine, which combines RGB and dedicated white light chips. The system provides a color temperature range from 2700K to 7500K with plus or minus 150 green/magenta adjustment for color matching with existing light sources.

Output figures place the miro 30c at 4,854 lux and the 60c at 8,382 lux when measured at one meter distance with a 5600K color temperature setting. Power consumption runs at 30W for the smaller model and 60W for the larger fixture. Both lights incorporate a 45-degree focusing lens to concentrate the beam while maintaining the soft quality inherent to the round form factor.

The lights offer access to 36,000 color combinations in HSI mode, along with 14 built-in effects with adjustable parameters. Color accuracy specifications were not provided in the technical documentation.

Power and battery life

Both models accept multiple power input methods. USB-C PD compatibility supports 9V to 20V input following the PD3.0 standard, allowing operation from laptop chargers and compatible power banks.

For battery operation, the miro 30c includes one NP-F battery slot, while the 60c features two slots for extended runtime. Using an NP-F750 battery, the 30c operates at full output for approximately one hour, extending to 1.5 hours with an NP-F970. The dual-battery 60c achieves up to 1 hour and 38 minutes of runtime when equipped with two NP-F970 batteries.

An optional power bank holder allows mounting of external battery packs directly to the fixture for extended operation periods.

The stepped yoke design provides 360-degree rotation with 20 preset tilt positions that lock without requiring additional knobs or levers. Standard mounting includes a 1/4-inch-20 thread, while the included adapter accepts 5/8-inch baby pins for professional light stands.

Thermal management

Control options include on-board operation via a 1.28-inch round display with surrounding progress bars for visual feedback. Wireless control operates through NANALIT’s NANLINK App 2.0 via Bluetooth connection. The app supports multi-light setups with individual or group control, scene recall, and synchronized effects across multiple fixtures.

The miro 60c incorporates a low-noise cooling fan rated at 20 dBA for thermal management during extended operation. The 30c’s cooling specifications were not detailed in the provided documentation. Both models feature heat dissipation vents designed to maintain stable performance during continuous operation.

Both lights carry RG0 Blue Light Safety Certification, indicating zero photobiological hazard to eyes and skin during normal operation. Firmware updates can be applied directly through the NANLINK app without requiring additional hardware or computer connections.
