The wait is over.

College football is back in full swing with Week 1 action starting on Thursday with 17 games on the slate.

It didn’t take long for the first upset of the season, either. No. 25 Boise State went to South Florida for its season opener and were absolutely handled by the Bulls. USF was in control throughout, forcing three fumbles and stuffing Boise on several fourth-down conversion attempts to win convincingly, 34-7, in a result that’s damning for the Broncos’ hopes of returning to the College Football Playoff.

Wisconsin, Missouri, Duke, NC State and Oklahoma State all kick off their seasons tonight as well with home games.

The matchup of the night features Nebraska against Cincinnati at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. The Cornhuskers showed signs of life last season with freshman Dylan Raiola leading the way at quarterback before ultimately sliding to a 7-6 record. Will they improve in Year 3 under Matt Rhule?
