VESTAL, N.Y. – Binghamton University Division of Athletics has announced that it will hold Binghamton Kids Community Day, a free basketball clinic for local boys and girls in first through sixth grades, set for Saturday, Sept. 20 from 11 am – 12:30 p.m. at the Events Center – the home of the Bearcats basketball teams.
The clinic will be led by Head Men’s Basketball Coach Levell Sanders, Head Women’s Basketball Coach Mary Grimes, along with Bearcats coaching staff and student-athletes. Young athletes will have the unique opportunity to learn directly from Division I coaches and players while developing fundamental basketball skills in a fun, engaging environment.
“This event is all about giving back to the community and inspiring the next generation,” said Coach Sanders. “We want kids to leave with more confidence, excitement, and love for the game.”
Coach Grimes added, “Our student-athletes are great role models for young kids, and this clinic allows them to connect with the community in a meaningful way. We can’t wait to see the gym filled with future Bearcats.”
