Society of Anaesthetists responds to increasing specialist fees

Almost a million Australians delay or skip specialist care because of the cost, according to a report by the Grattan Institute earlier this year.

There’s no evidence that high fees mean better care — although they clearly harm patients and put pressure on the health system.
