“The start time for 18 out of the 19 DP World Asia Cup 2025 matches has been updated. These matches will now begin at 6:30pm local time (Gulf Standard Time). According to Cricbuzz, the change could be due to the rising temperatures in the UAE, where the tournament is slated to be held from September 9 to 28. Cricket boards reportedly asked broadcasters to push the matches back a bit to avoid exposing their players to harsh summer conditions.

The Asia Cup 2025 will start with Afghanistan facing Hong Kong in Abu Dhabi on September 9. Eight teams will compete in the T20 event, including India and Pakistan. India will begin their campaign against the hosts UAE on September 10. The
blockbuster clash between the arch-rivals India and Pakistan will take place on September 14 in Dubai.
