Darren Till continued his boxing charge on Saturday, and many think he could be the first MMA fighter to defeat Jake Paul in the ring.

After a disappointing end to his tenure in the UFC, where he was once highly touted as an undefeated prospect and went on to challenge for the welterweight title, Till has enjoyed a career resurgence outside of MMA.

Since Till’s UFC loss to Dricus du Plessis sent him away from the Octagon, ‘The Gorilla’ has won three straight fights under the Misfits Boxing banner. His latest triumph in the crossover promotion came Saturday in Manchester, where he recorded his most brutal result to date.

In the main event of Misfits Boxing 22 at AO Arena, Till knocked out Luke Rockhold in scary fashion, connecting with a left hand in round three that folded the former UFC and Strikeforce champion.

Talk has quickly turned to what could await the Scouser down the line, and one UFC legend thinks crossover boxing’s biggest star would be wise to avoid him.

Michael Bisping laughs off any suggestion Darren Till vs Jake Paul would be competitive

Jake Paul is widely credited for sparking life into the ongoing crossover boxing trend, as he forged a career in the ring fighting veteran names from the MMA and boxing worlds.

Paul is next set to face Gervonta Davis after most recently beating former WBC champ Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. It remains to be seen whether ‘The Problem Child’ will return to fights against MMA stars down the line.

If he does, and should Till get the call, Michael Bisping would back his fellow countryman to do what Nate Diaz, Tyron Woodley, Ben Askren, Anderson Silva, and Mike Perry all could not.

“‘Jake Paul would smoke him,’ get out of town!” Bisping said in response to a fan’s comment during his live stream reacting to Till vs Rockhold.

“Darren Till would absolutely f—ing destroy Jake Paul, fact! That is a fact.

“The fact that you said that, the fact that you think that, shows that you’re a little Disney boy that doesn’t know f— all about combat, man,” Bisping added.

“Darren Till would destroy Jake Paul, and that’s just an absolute fact.

Michael Bisping is not the only one writing off Jake Paul’s chances

Bisping is far from alone with his thoughts on how Paul would fare against Till.

Among the others discussing that potential matchup in the aftermath of Misfits Boxing 22 was ex-UFC middleweight Derek Brunson.

Brunson submitted Till in a UFC main event four years ago, and having seen his former opponent thriving in the ring, the American expects Paul to do what he can to avoid the Scouser’s hands.

“Good lawdddd,” Brunson wrote on X after watching Till knock out Rockhold. “Yeah, Jake Paul is going to run from Darren Till, until he can’t run anymore!”
