The nib Newcastle Knights Board of Directors have established a subcommittee of five delegates, tasked to conduct a thorough process to determine the Knights NRL Head Coach for 2026 and beyond.

Chairman Geoff Coburn, board member Tony Price, incoming CEO Peter Parr and incoming Director of Football Chris James, will be joined by former premiership winning coach Michael Hagan, to determine a recommendation for ratification by the board.

Hagan, a former Club captain, played 111 games for the Knights, before he became the most capped Knights Head Coach in history coaching 155 premiership games, highlighted by the Club’s NRL grand final victory in 2001.
