Fares Ziam has pulled himself from UFC Fight Night 258 due to personal reasons.
Ziam (17-4 MMA, 7-2 UFC) was scheduled to face Kaue Fernandes (10-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) in a lightweight bout on Saturday’s main card (ESPN+) at Accor Arena in Paris.

He announced Monday on Instagram that after the death of his grandmother, he has decided to prioritize his family and not compete.
Ziam was entering his fight with Fernandes on a five-fight winning streak, including a Knockout of the Year contender over Matt Frevola last September in Paris. He is 6-0 fighting in his home country of France.
