The Allan government is being urged to order the Victorian public service to use artificial intelligence as a default setting to boost productivity and drive down costs.
The policy proposed by the Australian Information Industry Association would mean public servants in the state would have to use AI as a first choice in their work and to justify why they were shunning the technology if not.
