Treasurer Jim Chalmers has urged states to use artificial intelligence to speed up planning approvals, after the NSW government announced it would do so for major projects within months.
Chalmers said that “using AI to unlock more housing is exactly the kind of thing we need to see more of if we’re going to boost productivity across our economy”, ahead of a meeting with state and territory treasurers on Friday.
