We’ve curated a selection of brand-new K-dramas coming to Netflix in 2026 that we’re excited to watch on the streaming service!

The Wonder Fools

Another Korean superhero series, I hear you say? 2025 will feature Cashero, and 2026 will feature The Wonder Fools. However, The Wonder Fools will arguably lean more into the comedy side of the superhero genre as we see a group of dysfunctional superpowered beings in action, attempting to take on the superpowered villains of Korea. The series boasts a fantastic cast, featuring the incredible talents of Park Eun-bin, Cha Eun-woo, Kim Hae-sook, Choi Dae-hoon, Im Sung-jae, and Son Hyun-joo.
The Plot
In a world where super-powered beings exist, those with flawed superpowers are also known as “defective superhumans.” These individuals may possess superhuman abilities, but cannot fully control them or use them at will.
East Palace

A paranormal investigation set in the Joseon period? Sign us up! We can’t wait to see the likes of Nam Joo Hyuk and Roh Yoon Seo in action as the ghost-fighting duo of Gu Cheon and the Court Lady Saeng. K-drama fans are eagerly awaiting the release of East Palace, and so are we.
The Plot
A ghost slayer and a palace maid secretly team up to infiltrate the depths of the royal grounds and together rid the palace of any ghosts and other supernatural entities haunting it.
True Lessons
Another webtoon being adapted into a live-action series is in store for Netflix with True Lessons. Super popular with fans across the world, who will finally get to see the likes of Na Hwa Jin brought to life through the talented Kim Mu Yeol, who was previously seen on Sweet Home. We’re still convinced this will be a Summer release for Netflix and could easily be one of the biggest K-dramas to land on the platform in 2026.
The Plot
Tells the story of students, parents, and teachers. In a society where teachers’ rights have fallen due to students who cross the line, parents who don’t know the line, and teachers who draw the line, the drama introduces adults who are not afraid of children and tries to properly teach children what they did wrong. Na Hwa Jin is a field supervisor at the Teachers’ Rights Protection Agency. He is a hexagonal person with perfect mentality, physicality, and brains, and is the designer of all the plans for the Teachers’ Rights Protection Agency. He is also called the ‘Grim Reaper’ because he is not afraid of absurdity, fear, or compromise, but he is a character who struggles to protect justice and peace.
Scandals

There are two genres in particular that South Korea excels at, romance and period dramas, especially those set in the Joseon period. Scandals is everything K-drama fans are going to love; it features a steamy story, a historic setting, and an on-screen romance between Son Ye Jin, Ji Chang Wook, and Nana.
The Plot
Set towards the end of the Joseon Dynasty period, Madam Cho lives as a devoted wife, but secretly she resents the restrictions placed upon her by society. Madam Cho has held many discrete relationships with other men. Cho Won is an accomplished scholar and skilled in martial arts. His real passion though is seducing other women. Madam Cho is his first love. Since that time they have engaged in high stake games of seduction and love. They both hide their true feelings for each other. Madam Cho then sets Won upon the innocent Hui Yeon, who will become her husband’s concubine.
The Rat

Some of the very best crime dramas on Netflix have been produced by South Korea, and we expect that trend to continue with The Rat. Based on Ludvico’s webtoon Field Mouse, it stars Ryu Jun Yeol and Sul Kyung Gu, who have left fans salivating over the idea of these two actors going head-to-head.
The Plot
Moon Jae, a reclusive writer, finds that the fingerprint recognition on his phone fails, and even the friend who had helped him manage everything disappears. With no way left to prove that he is truly Moon Jae, he learns that a mysterious person called “Rat” has taken his name, identity, and fortune. Determined to reclaim his life, he begins to pursue him.
Wish Your Death

With a plot straight out of a teen horror movie, Wish Your Death has all the potential to be a viral sensation for Netflix. It features a fantastic cast, including Jeon So-Young, Kang Ni-Ma, Baek Sun-Ho, and Hyun Woo-Seok, and we expect the series to be one of the most popular Korean releases on Netflix in 2026.
The Plot
Students of Seorin High School are tormented by the cursed app Girigo, which allows users to upload a video to make a wish at a devastating cost. When panic begins to spread throughout the school, a group of students desperately tries to find a way out of their doomed fate.
