Yoane Wissa was one of the biggest movers on transfer deadline day.

Indeed, the former Brentford striker made a £55m move to Newcastle on the final day of the transfer window.

This transfer came as Alexander Isak headed to Liverpool and a striker slot opened at St James’ Park.

Wissa is getting settled in the north east, and he’s taken part in a quickfire Q and A session to help fans get to know him better, and he’s made an interesting claim about a former Tottenham player during this question and answer video.

Wissa was asked a number of questions about his career so far after signing for Newcastle.

One thing the striker was asked was to name the best player he’s ever shared a pitch with.

Wissa has played with a number of talented players in his career so far, such as Bryan Mbeumo and Ivan Toney.

However, according to the striker, the best he’s ever played alongside is none other than former Tottenham midfielder, Christian Eriksen.

Eriksen and Wissa played together for a short time at Brentford, and even though he may have been past his very best at that point, Eriksen was brilliant for the Bees.

Christian Eriksen’s stats for Brentford

Eriksen only played for Brentford for a short period, but he made a serious impact in that time.

Many thought Eriksen’s Premier League days were over after his £17m move to Inter Milan, and many feared his career was over after his cardiac arrest at Euro 2020.

However, the Dane made a triumphant return to the English top-flight with Brentford in 2022, and his stats from that time were simply brilliant.

Wissa only played a handful of games with the midfielder, but even in that short space of time, he could tell how special he was.
