Arsenal are under pressure from fans and pundits alike to land a major trophy this season.
Mikel Arteta has faced criticism for his approach to Arsenal’s 1-0 defeat at Anfield with Peter Schmeichel claiming he was ‘angry’ over the lack of attacking intent shown.
The majority of Arsenal’s squad are away on international duty and it gives the Gunners boss time to reflect and evaluate his options moving forward now that everything is finalised after the transfer window.
Andrea Berta has certainly provided Arteta with much more depth than he had last season to cope with injuries and suspensions and a former manager has revealed one Arsenal transfer really ‘hurt’ him.

Speaking to Hayters TV, former Rangers and Brentford manager Mark Warburton has claimed that Eberechi Eze’s transfer to Arsenal ‘hurt’ him as a fan of Tottenham Hotspur.
The former boss took charge of 82 matches at Ibrox but spent the longest time in his career as QPR manager where he managed Eze. However, his allegiances are with Arsenal’s North London rivals.
Warburton stated: “It’s a it’s a great bit of business by Arsenal to come in that to see the injury to have us to responded so swiftly and that’s what the best clubs do in terms of the flexibility.
“You know you think back to Brentford they have that ownership the owner who has the flexibility to move swiftly and in the market you need to do that sometimes, so yeah fair play as although it hurts me a Spurs fan fair play to Arsenal for executing in such a manner.”
Eze looked set to join Spurs before an injury to Kai Havertz meant that the Gunners decided to pull the trigger on a move for the 27-year-old.
Eberechi Eze will benefit from gaining minutes with England on international duty
Eze made his Arsenal debut at Anfield in the last twenty minutes but had played just 82 minutes in the Premier League before that for Crystal Palace.
Wayne Rooney couldn’t understand why Eze didn’t start for Arsenal but Arteta will now be hoping that his new signing can get some minutes under his belt for England.

Gary Neville thought Eze looked ‘sharp’ and with Thomas Tuchel’s side having two World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia on the horizon, the winger will be looking to impress.
The Gunners return to action against Nottingham Forest and if Eze can build some momentum whilst away with England, he could be in line for his first start upon return to domestic matters.
