7m agoSat 6 Sep 2025 at 5:08amPanthers defence earns them a tryTom Jenkins gets the Panthers a dropout with a great kick chase, but Lyhkan King-Togia steals the bat-back for the Dragons, only for Penrith to swarm and take him into touch.
That puts Penrith on the attack from 15 metres out and they put it through the hands on a familiar left-side shift with Jenkins the beneficiary of quick hands from Blaize Talagi and Casey McLean.

Nathan Cleary can’t convert from out wide, so it’s 4-0 to the Panthers.

Last-second change for Dragons
Winger Christian Tuipulotu has pulled his hamstring in the warm-up just before kick-off, so he’s replaced by 18th man Corey Allan on the wing.

Split allegiances
Arvo Jon. I grew up idolising St. George before moving to Cronulla so I’m hoping for a miracle today – first up the Dragons (fingers and toes crossed) and then the Sharkies to finish my night on a high.

KB, that’s a rough combo.
Must make the rivalry clashes a little awkward. Who do you back when they face off?

Hello and welcome to ABC Sport’s Saturday NRL blog.

The Panthers are currently eighth and set for a first-week finals clash in Cronulla, but if they win it will set up a trip to Auckland to face the Warriors.
We’ll also see the Titans and Tigers face off as the Gold Coast tries to avoid the wooden spoon, before the Bulldogs face the Sharks in something of a finals preview.
