August is generally a pretty damn good month to be a surfer on Bali’s Bukit Peninsula. It’s September already, so the YouTube channel Surf Raw Files decided it was a good time to take a look back through the clips from the month. When the creators with the channel did, they realized that this past August was even better than usual.
“Every major wave was working on every swell,” they wrote. “Uluwatu, Padang Padang, Impossibles, Bingin, and Balangan. The month started strong with back-to-back south swells. Then the biggest swell of the year hit on the fifth of August, and they ran the biggest competition at Padang Padang, and Uluwatu was all about having the big guns!”
The video you see here is a compilation of clips from Bali’s best waves, and it’s proof that you should probably start looking into a surf trip there for next August.
