Scans confirm ruptured ACL for midfielder.

Essendon can confirm that Brooke Walker will miss the remainder of the 2025 AFLW Season after rupturing her ACL in the round four match against Geelong on Sunday.

Walker suffered the injury through indirect contact in the fourth quarter, with scans on Monday confirming the results.

Head of Medical Services Megan Smith said the coaches and playing group are rallying behind Walker, in what is a difficult time for the midfielder.

“It’s incredibly unfortunate to lose Brooke to such a devastating injury,” Smith said.

“She is a fierce competitor and highly respected within the group, and we know she will approach her rehab with the same determination she brings to the field.

“She will continue to have our full support throughout her recovery and rehab in the upcoming months.”

The Club will continue to provide further updates on Walker’s rehab and recovery.
