PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C.- Charlotte Women’s Golf continued their excellent play in round two at the Golfweek Fall Challenge, maintaining a 14-stroke lead heading into the final round on Tuesday. The Niners have a team score of 559 (-9) above second place Coastal Carolina (573, +5).
Charlotte set a new program record on Sunday in round one by scoring a 273, besting the previous mark of 276 set in 2019. Individually, Ting Uang tied the single round record of 66, most recently
done by Pinky Chaisilprungruang last season. Caroline Johnson impressed with a 67, tying for the second-best round in the record book and a new personal low.
In round two, Uang remained in contention on the individual leaderboard by shooting one under par (70). Going into the final round, Uang is one stroke from the lead sitting behind Boise State’s Leia Chung. Chaisilprungruang carded a 69 once again, finishing the first two rounds four under par, three strokes off the lead.
