ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (Sept. 8, 2025) – The Northern Arizona women’s golf team completed the first two rounds of the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational, hosted by New Mexico at the UNM Championship Course.

As a team, the Lumberjacks currently sit in sixth place at +17 (593), with one more round of 18 holes remaining tomorrow. The current leaders are Big Sky rival Sacramento State, at -1 (575) for the day. Montana State, another Big Sky competitor, is in fifth place at +15 (591), two shots ahead of NAU.

Leading the ‘Jacks for the day was junior Amy Hodgkins, who finished at +1 (145), tied for seventh place on the individual leaderboard. The Australian native posted an under-par round of 71 (-1) this morning, recording four birdies, followed by a 74 (+2) in the afternoon with two more birdies.

Frankie Dezis and Lizzie Neale both finished the day at 2-over-par and are tied for 14th place.

Dezis, another junior, shot a 74 in the morning and an even-par 72 in the afternoon. She recorded two birdies in each round and posted an even-par scoring average on par-4 holes. The Englishwoman is tied for fifth in the field for total number of pars, with 26.

Neale carded two rounds of 73, including five birdies over the 36 holes. She is tied for sixth in par-5 scoring, averaging 4.75 (-2).

Sumin Kang is tied for 68th after rounds of 80 and 76, for a total of +12 (156). Ava Bates rounds out the lineup with scores of 84 and 80 (+20), placing her in solo 86th.

The two Russian natives, Nina Lukyanenko and Glafira Pomazkova, are competing as individuals.

Lukyanenko is tied for 60th after rounds of 79 (+7) and 75 (+3). She birdied the par-4, 341-yard 15th hole in both rounds. Pomazkova, a true freshman, recorded rounds of 87 and 80 (+23), placing 88th.

The final round will begin with a shotgun start tomorrow at 6:30 a.m. Mountain Standard Time. Northern Arizona will play alongside Long Beach State and Montana State, starting on holes four through seven.
