Melbourne has announced five changes to its AFL list

MELBOURNE has made five changes to its AFL list, informing Tom Fullarton, Kynan Brown, Oliver Sestan, Will Verrall and Marty Hore they will not be offered a contract for the 2026 season.

Fullarton, a former Lion, joined the Demons during the 2023 AFL Trade Period. He made his club debut in Round 7 this year, in what was his first of two games, and ran out for Casey on 30 occasions across two seasons.

Brown, who arrived at Melbourne as a father-son via the 2023 Rookie Draft, made his AFL debut in Round 16, 2024 – he played two senior matches. He also tallied 37 games and 11 goals for the Casey Demons.

Sestan and Verrall became Demons in late 2022, selected by Melbourne in the Rookie Draft. Consistent contributors for Casey, they played 41 and 44 matches, respectively. Sestan kicked 28 majors across his two seasons, with ruckman Verrall managing 11 goals when floating forward.

Hore’s second stint with the club comes to an end after 20 games in the red and blue. The 28-year-old returned to Melbourne, the club he called home between 2019 and 2021, via the pre-season supplemental selection period in 2023. Hore managed four VFL games this year, amidst injury concerns.

Melbourne AFL List Manager Tim Lamb thanked the quintet for their contribution to the red and blue.

“On behalf of everyone at the club, we would like to thank Tom, Kynan, Ollie, Will and Marty for all that they’ve given to the program over their respective journeys,” Lamb said.

“They will always be part of the extended Melbourne family, and we wish them the best for what comes next.”
