GIVEN the livery reveal window is open for Supercars teams ahead of the Ryco Enduro Cup, V8 Sleuth has taken the opportunity to dream up a wish list of special one-off designs we’d love to see before the season is out.
Dick Johnson Racing has already committed to its second shake-up of the year at The Bend in a nod to OTR, and PremiAir Racing is unveiling its latest enduro wrap tomorrow.
There’s plenty more opportunity beyond that for teams to overhaul their looks in the coming months…
1) Triple Eight/Craig Lowndes farewell – Bathurst
It’s bound to be an emotional occasion when Craig Lowndes lines up for the final race of his 21-year partnership with Triple Eight.
The 2025 Repco Bathurst 1000 will also happen to be Triple Eight’s 300th Supercars Championship round.
Both would be fitting reasons to motivate a fresh livery for the Mountain – admittedly some creativity might be required though if they were to blend Supercheap Auto backing into a Betta Electrical flashback, for example.
2) Will Davison’s 600th – Sandown

DJR has already been in the mood to change things up in 2025, and this would be an opportune moment to do so again.
Davison is due to become the fifth member of Supercars’ 600 club on the Saturday of the Sandown semi-finals.
It’s also significant given this year marks the 60th anniversary of his grandfather Lex being killed in a crash at Sandown, and the 30th anniversary of DJR’s last win in the Sandown 500.
3) Triple Eight/General Motors swansong – Adelaide

Triple Eight farewelled Holden from Supercars at the 2022 Adelaide 500 with a clean white base livery, and this year’s finale offers another chance to close out another successful chapter with a memorable design.
For this will be the end of the road for Triple Eight and General Motors’ 16-year association that has thus far netted seven Bathurst 1000 wins, nine drivers’ championships and nine teams’ titles.
Then it’s back to Ford for 2026.
4) James Courtney’s last hurrah – Adelaide

It’s fitting that a champion of the sport will hang up the helmet (as a full-timer, if not more) at a circuit he’s somewhat synonymous with.
‘JC’ won in Adelaide in back-to-back-to-back years for the Holden Racing Team and has totalled 12 top three finishes there.
It’s where he broke through for his maiden main game pole position and where he took his most recent – and most stunning – victory, holding off Jamie Whincup in breathtaking fashion.
As a personality and a racer, Courtney will be hard to replace and deserves a mega send-off.
Oh, and the Sunday race in Adelaide is due to be the Blanchard Racing Team’s 150th.
5) Tickford Racing’s 700th race – Adelaide

Tickford has redecorated before in the city of churches, unveiling an epic Ken Block tribute livery for Cam Waters two years ago.
The Campbellfield squad will of course hope to be celebrating the biggest prize of all by the end of the grand final.
But spending the weekend paying homage to its history would also be fun given the Friday Adelaide race will be its 700th, and a nice contrast against what it hopes to be the start of an enduring NASCAR wildcard project.
