Young Sheldon star Emily Osment and musician Jack Anthony Farina have finalised their divorce less than a year after tying the knot.
Osment, 33, and Farina, 42, married in a private ceremony in October 2024, but just five months later Osment filed for divorce.
The court filing stated the pair separated December 7, 2024 only two months after they wed and cited “irreconcilable differences”.

Additionally, the filing reportedly stated that Osment and Faria had signed a prenup leading up to their nuptials. They don’t have any children together.
“I think with any big decision in your life, whether it’s relationships or work or whatever it may be, you have to firmly plant both feet in that decision,” the Young Sheldon alum told People in a statement back in March.
“Ultimately, it didn’t work out.”

Osment and Anthony started dating in late 2021 with the pair making their relationship public on Valentine’s Day 2022.
They kept their romance mostly under wraps but were overjoyed to announce their engagement in June 2023.

Farina popped the question at Yosemite National Park and Osment took to Instagram to share the news at the time by posting a picture of her unique two-stone ring.
In her post she gushed over Farina writing: “This magical, beautiful, kaleidoscope of a person asked me to marry him this weekend. I did not know life could be this sweet or I could ever be this deliriously happy.
“I am so proud of the life we have built together and the people we have become over the last few years.”

Osment first became a household name when she starred in the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana alongside Miley Cyrus from 2006 to 2011.
She played Hannah Montana’s best friend Lilly Truscott.
Despite the show catapulting her to fame, Osment hilariously confessed on the Chicks in the Office podcast that she’d never seen an episode of Hannah Montana, with the exception of the premiere episode.

At the time Osment recalled: “I remember watching the premiere, because they had a party for us on stage and I remember that was such an interesting time, because we had no idea what it was going to be, that it was just going to be this sensation that, like, swept the world.”
She looks back at her Hannah Montana experience fondly but recognises the pressure stardom put on her at a young age.
Emily Osment’s acting career
Osment went on to play Roxie on the series Cleaners (2013–2014), Gabi Diamond on the series Young & Hungry (2014–2018) and Roxy Doyle on the show Almost Family (2019–2020).
From 2018 to 2021, played Theresa on the Netflix comedy-drama series The Kominsky Method, and went on to star in the sitcom Pretty Smart (2021) until landing her part in Young Sheldon the same year.
Osment joined Season 5 of Young Sheldon as Mandy McAllister. Mandy was a love interest of the Cooper family’s oldest son Georgie (played by Montana Jordan).

Mandy and Georgie’s storyline centered arround their accidental pregnancy and the lie they’d both told each other about their ages.
When they first met in Young Sheldon, Georgie was 17 and lied about being 21, while Mandy was 29 and pretended to be 25.
The storyline soon became a fan favourite and after Young Sheldon came to an end the spin-off series Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage hit screens in 2024.
The series focuses on young parents Georgie and Mandy as they navigate the challenges of adulthood, parenting, and marriage while raising a young family in Texas.

In its two seasons so far, Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage has been a huge success averaging 13.3 million viewers.
Osment, her Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage co-star Montana Jordan and the Young Sheldon cast remained close off-screens with most of them attending Jordan’s real-life cowboy-themed wedding in June 2025.

Apart from her own acting accomplishments you might also recognise her as the younger sister of The Sixth Sense star Haley Joel Osment.

Both Osment siblings made the jump from child stars to full-fledged actors.
Their father Michael was also an actor while their mum Theresa was an English teacher in Los Angeles.
Both have credited their parents for keeping them on the right path in Hollywood.
