During one of her latest interviews, actress Whoopi Goldberg left more than a few people speechless with her latest statements about Bruce Willis. Without a second thought, the actress broke her silence to confirm what her fellow professional is really like.

This Wednesday, September 10, the star of Sister Act sat on the set of The View to talk, among other things, about her current professional projects. However, there is no doubt that the statements that drew the most attention were those related to actor Bruce Willis.

A series of confessions came after Emma Heming Willis, Willis’s wife, presented her new book on caregiving titled The Unexpected Journey.

During her interview on the aforementioned U.S. show, Whoopi Goldberg had no qualms about showing her affection for her fellow professional: “He’s a really great guy.”

“Your husband was one of the coolest guys, one of the first people I met when I became famous, and he guided me quite well. I’m glad he has you,” she said, prompting a big round of applause on set.

Meanwhile, Whoopi Goldberg stated that Emma’s book is a necessary work. “I’m glad you did this, because it’ll help anyone, even if you’re not going through this.”

“You need to take a look at this book, because you might find out you’re going through something. Maybe don’t wait until you need it. Maybe get it now,” she added.

The professional relationship between Goldberg and Bruce Willis dates back to the 1980s. In 1986, the actress appeared as a guest star in an episode of the second season of Moonlighting, the hit series that made Willis a television figure.

Four years later, Whoopi Goldberg achieved international fame with Ghost, where Demi Moore, then Willis’s wife, also appeared. Her role earned her an Academy Award from Hollywood. In 1992, the actors worked together again in The Player, a production by Robert Altman.
