Ange Postecoglou’s tenure as Nottingham Forest coach hasn’t started the way he had hoped, with his new side falling 3-0 against Arsenal on Saturday night (AEST).
After being sacked by Tottenham at the end of the last season, the Australian manager took the reins this week at Forest after they opted to part ways with Espirito Santo.
The change in coach didn’t mean a change in results however, as a brace for Martin Zubimendi and another goal for Viktor Gyökeres doing the damage.

To add insult to injury, the Arsenal supporters took a cheeky dig at Postecoglou as the result moved out of reach.
“Are you Tottenham in disguise?” the home fans started to chant in the second half.
Arsenal, of course, are the bitter London rivals of Tottenham – the team Postecoglou coached until his demise in June.
Zubimendi opened the scoring in the 32nd minute with a blistering one-touch volley from just outside the box, leaving goalkeeper Matz Sels no chance of saving it.

Less than a minute into the second half, Arsenal pounced again when Gyökeres became the beneficiary of some poor defence from the visitors.
Eberechi Eze capitalised on the lapse from substitute Nicolo Savona and put it on a platter for the Swedish recruit to score his third goal of the season.
Zubimendi headed in the third goal for the Gunners in the 79th minute.
While it will be a disappointing result for the proud Postecoglou, having limited time to take Forest from a poor start to their campaign into a clash with one of the league’s front-runners was never going to be an easy task.
“He will be so devastated,” Craig Foster said on Stan Sport’s post-game coverage.
“This was expected – let’s say it very clear – it was 3-0 in this same fixture last year.”
Forest will next play in the League Cup against Swansea on Thursday morning (AEST), before their next Premier League clash with Burnley on Sunday.
