Erxhan Osmani’s former coach speaks on Favorit: I told him he would make it to the NBA from the first meeting

The first coach of Erxhan Osman, Turkey’s star at Eurobasket 2025, Ramush Rushiti spoke on “Favorit” and provided some details about Osman’s start in the sport of basketball.
Rushiti said that since his first meeting with Osmani, he sensed his success, and says he told him that he would make it to the NBA.
“From the age of 13 he was in Prizren, he studied at the German school, for two years he was in our club. When I saw his physique, a little jokingly, I said that he had the predispositions to be an NBA player. We all hoped for the best, but we did not expect this success of his. We all have a hand in his growth, even from the Kosovo Basketball Federation,” Rushiti initially said in “Favorit”.
Furthermore, he also spoke about the issue of payment, whether it was ever paid in Kosovo.
“He hasn’t paid anything, and neither have we. The biggest payment we could make to him is to give him his first steps in basketball,” he added.
Rushiti says he no longer has contact with Erxhan Osmani, but says it’s not his fault, but someone else’s.
“We have not contacted Erxhan since 2017, not through his fault, because he is a very good basketball player and above all a ducat guy, I know who the culprit is, but it has nothing to do with it,” he concluded.
