DWCS 82, the sixth week of season nine of Dana White’s Contender Series, is upon us. This coming Tuesday night, another week without a show from the UFC brings with it some midweek action to tide UFC fans over until the No. 1 promotion in the world returns on Sept. 27 in Perth.

As usual, live coverage of this week’s show begins this Tuesday at 8 pm ET/ 5 pm PT on ESPN+ inside the United States. Internationally, DWCS 82 is shown over UFC Fight Pass.

All told, barring any 11th-hour adjustments to the schedule, the normal five-fight itinerary will take place on Tuesday evening to begin the second half of season nine. Undefeated fighters will rule the day this week, with three fights pitting undefeated contestants against one another and seven of this week’s 10 competitors having yet to lose in professional MMA.

DWCS 82 Main Event: Mackson Lee vs. Hecher Sosa

At the top of the bill on Tuesday night, the bantamweights go to battle when Mackson Lee (9-0 MMA) fights Hecher Sosa (13-1 MMA.) All fights on DWCS 82 are an advertised maximum of three rounds at five minutes per round.

Mackson Lee has yet to lose thus far in his pro MMA career. A veteran of the LFA and the former Avalanche Fight Championship Featherweight Champion, he last fought in February in LFA 201.

That winter’s night, he finished off Filipe Zacaron (8-4, 1 NC MMA) with a second-round knockout (knee.)  This young man is only 26 years of age and he’s on a tear in the sport of MMA. How will his 10th walk to the cage pan out on Tuesday night?

Meanwhile, Hecher Sosa has posted a mark of 5-0 in his last five fights dating back to September of last year. He’s won 10 fights in succession, including a first-round knockout by way of elbows followed by ground strikes in June over Yaman Mjahed (3-1 MMA) in WOW 20’s La Noche de Los Campeones on June 7.

Both fighters are on hot streaks heading into DWCS 82 on Tuesday night. Thus, both are at their most dangerous, but who will emerge as the victor?

DWCS 82 Co-Main Event: Mahamed Aly vs. Iwo Baraniewski

Immediately beforehand, the light heavyweights take to the fabled Octagon when Mahamed Aly (4-0 MMA) meets Iwo Baraniewski (5-0 MMA.) Both men are undefeated as professionals going into DWCS 82 on Tuesday evening.

The former last fought in March, besting UFC alumnus Jared Gordon (23-11 MMA) via unanimous decision after three rounds.) While Gordon did only go 2-5 under the UFC promotional banner, Aly winning against a contestant with north of 30 fights to his credit is a resume-builder.

Aly has only fought professionally since January of 2024. Now, he’s only 15 minutes (or less) away from potentially securing a UFC contract.

Across the way, Iwo Baraniewski most recently set foot in the cage this past March. That evening, he finished Kamil Stachura (2-1-1 MMA) inside the opening round. He’s only been a pro in the sport of MMA for close to two years as of this writing. How will he fare on DWCS 82?

DWCS 82: Tommy Gantt vs. Adam Livingston

Also on DWCS 82, you’ll be treated to a lightweight contest versing Tommy Gantt (10-0, 1 NC MMA) and Adam Livingston (6-0 MMA.) Gantt last made the walk to the cage Feb. 8, scoring a first-round knockout with just 16 seconds remaining on the first-round clock versus Deven Paulsen (5-10 MMA) during Fight For It 24.

This is Gantt’s 12th fight in MMA. His only bauble happened in August of last year, when Gantt’s fight vs. Kyle Wright (2-2, 1 NC MMA) ended in a no-contest in the first round of the contest.

Numerically speaking, Tommy Gantt has finished 90 percent of his fights inside the distance. If he stops Livingston here, his life will change in the form of a UFC contract.

In the other corner, Adam Livingston just fought on June 20. That evening, in LFA 211, he picked up a second-round TKO after the fight doctor determined that Livingston’s opponent, Hugo Oyarzun (8-5 MMA) could not continue in the contest. He’ll have had 86 days between fights by the time DWCS 82 begins on Tuesday night. How will he handle the turnaround?

Rest of the Card

Two other fights round out the bout order at DWCS 82 this Tuesday evening, a middleweight contest versing In Soo Hwang (8-1 MMA) and Cage Warriors alum Paddy McCorry (6-1 MMA) and a bantamweight showcase between Cody Chovancek (8-0 MMA) and Raphael Uchegbu (10-1 MMA.) Which of the five fights are you looking forward to? Let us know in the comments.
