Class of 2026 three-star small forward Dionycius Bakare has decommitted from Penn State basketball, according to Joe Moussa. Bakare had been committed to the Nittany Lions since July 7.

Bakare, a 6’5″ wing, hasn’t formally announced his decision on social media but has already picked up new offers from USC, Illinois, and Cal. Despite reopening his recruitment, Bakare told Moussa he is close to making a decision.

The Canadian forward previously chose Penn State over several Power Six programs and had been seen as one of Mike Rhoades’ early pieces in the Class of 2026.

With Bakare’s decommitment, the Nittany Lions’ 2026 recruiting class only holds one committed player in Jamison White, as Rhoades and his coaching staff regroup ahead of the next recruiting cycle.
