MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Belmont men’s golf team tied for ninth place at the Grover Page Classic held this week at The Links at Audubon in Memphis.

Belmont carded a final round 281 to move up a spot and finish in a tie for ninth place with Eastern Illinois at 853.  Central Arkansas won the team title at 814, while host UT-Martin was second at 828.

Two Bruins finished among the top-25.  Senior Conner Brown led BU as he tied for 20th place at 209.  He shot a three-under par 68 on Tuesday.  He finished seven strokes back of the individual champion, Haden Maxwell of Tennessee Tech (202).

Junior Chris Harpum tied for 23rd place at 210 after carding a two-under 69 in the final round. 

Other Belmont scores from the event included: freshman Jack Doyle (T-52, 215), freshman Charlie Spiller (T-70, 219), and sophomore Brennan Cozad (86th, 224).

Junior Grey Goff, competing as an individual, is tied for 70th place at 219.

The men’s golf team will be back in action this Saturday and Sunday at the Yestingsmeier Invitational in Muncie, Indiana.
