Mark Nawaqanitawase has been named the National Rugby League (NRL) Rookie of the Year for the 2025 season, following an outstanding campaign in which he scored an impressive 24 tries for the Sydney Roosters.
The Players’ Rookie of the Year award recognises Mark’s remarkable impact in his debut full season, as he was voted the best rookie by his fellow players—a significant accolade given the strong competition.
Mark made his first NRL appearance late in the 2024 season, entering the 2025 campaign with just one game under his belt.
