Hobart AFL stadium should not go ahead says planning commission

The future of Hobart’s planned AFL stadium is again in doubt after the state’s independent planning commission released a scathing report recommending it should not be built.

The commission’s report raises concerns about the size of the development and its location.

But the Tasmanian Premier Jeremy Rockliff is vowing to push ahead and build the stadium, to secure the right to form a new team in the AFL.
