GREENVILLE, S.C. –

After starting its 2025-26 season with a first place finish at the Redbird Invitational, the Eastern Kentucky University women’s golf team will participate in the 51st Annual Lady Paladin Invitational this weekend.
 
Hosted by Furman University, the teams will play 54 holes over three days on the Furman University Golf Course.  The course will have a par of 71 and play to 6,331 yards.
 
In addition to EKU, the field of 16 teams includes Furman, Alabama, Augusta, Daytona State, Florida Gulf Coast, Harvard, High Point, Kennesaw State, Minnesota, Nevada, North Florida, Old Dominion, St. Thomas, North Carolina-Wilmington and Xavier.
 
The first and second rounds on Friday and Saturday will begin with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. ET.  Sunday’s final round will have a shotgun start at 9 a.m. ET.  The teams will play a practice round on Thursday starting at 11 a.m. ET.
 
The starting five for the Colonels will feature sophomore Karra Tucker, senior Lanie Campbell, sophomore Imogen Jessen, senior Mary Keene Marrs and senior Elizabeth Tucci.  Freshman Cami Beuret will play as an individual.
 
Tucker leads the team with a 71.00 stroke average.  Campbell has a 73.33 stroke average.  Jessen sits at 73.67.
 
The Colonels overcame a 5-shot deficit heading into the final round of the Redbird Invitational on Sept. 8.  EKU carded an even-par round of 288 to finish with a 3-round total of 879 (+15). 
 
The team moved into a tie with the University of South Dakota at the top of the leaderboard with three holes to play.  EKU was one shot better over those final three.  It was the first team title for the program since winning the Colonel Classic during the 2021-22 season.
 
Tucker took home individual medalist honors after firing a 3-round total of 213, which was three shots under par and three shots in front of second place Catie Nekola from South Dakota.
 
It was the first individual title for an EKU golfer since Raga Kristinsdottir won the Colonel Classic during the 2021-22 season.  Following her performance, Tucker was chosen as the Atlantic Sun Conference Golfer of the Week.
 
Campbell (220), a transfer from Middle Tennessee, tied for fifth overall at the Redbird Invitational.  Jessen carded a final round 1-over 73 and tied for seventh with a total of 221.  Mary Keene Marrs helped EKU move to the top with a final round 1-under 71.  She tied for 17th with a total of 225.
