Alex Ovechkin is an ice hockey player from Russia. His mom, Tatyana, used to play professional basketball and was a two-time Olympic Gold Medalist, and his dad, Mikhail, was a professional soccer player. So, from a tender age, sport was a great deal for him. Alex was the youngest of the three brothers in his family. He had an older brother named Sergei who tragically passed away in a car accident when Ovechkin was only 10 years old.
